Behind the Noise is a course for anyone interested in a career in the music industry. It is open to any pupils who are interested in all areas of the music industry. You do not have to be able to play an instrument.

There will be 4 sessions before the Christmas holidays on Friday 26 Oct, 9 November, 23 November and 7 December, all from 3pm until 5pm in room 58. To register your interest, please see Ms Valentine as soon as possible for a consent form.

There are over 48,000 people employed in the music industry in Scotland. This course gives you the chance to find out about the different career options, including marketing, merchandising, recording and performing. The course is delivered by people currently working in the music business.

After Christmas there will be an opportunity for those who play an instrument to record a track at a professional studio and perform at a showcase gig at The Classic Grand.

Behind The Noise encourages the development of important transferable skills such as organisation, communication, confidence and -- most importantly -- the ability to work as a team towards a common goal. The programme engages students through a language that they enjoy and understand ... music!
