Congratulations to Soma Rasul (4B), who was awarded 1st place in the Greener Glasgow Art competition with a prize of £150. Soma did a beautiful painting of a landscape and also had her picture in the Evening Times on Friday 19 October.

Also, congratulations to Lyn McQuade, who was awarded 2nd place with a prize of £100 for her Clydeside scene, which used chopped up Irn Bru cans to depict the River Clyde and the reflections of the buildings. The success of the girls' work also wins £500 for the school fund.

All 5 pupils who took part did exceptionally well, and the Springburn Academy landscapes were outstanding against the other expressive entrants.
