Saxophone ... Army Style!
Bradley Starkey (S4) was amongst pupils from five schools who recently took part in music workshops at St Thomas Aquinas Secondary School with the Band of the Royal Regiment of Scotland. They performed together last night (31 October).
Bradley, who plays tenor saxophone, hopes to enlist as a musician with the army. He commented, "It's been hard, but it's been good. When you get bits wrong with the music or are struggling, they help you out."
The band is the only full-time military band in Scotland. It recently performed at the Paralympic Games in London and has been to Afghanistan twice in the last year, boosting troop morale over the festive season and on Burns Night.
